This notice explains how NovoFinity (“we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through novofinity.com. We operate in South Africa, the United Kingdom and Australia, and handle personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Australian Privacy Act 1988.
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to send us through our enquiry forms:
- your first and last name, email address, phone number and company
- the message you write to us
- which form you used, and the date and time you sent it
- technical details sent by your browser with the form: your IP address and browser type
We do not collect special categories of personal information, and this website is not intended for children.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Our fonts and images are served from our own domain, so browsing the site does not share your information with third parties.
Why we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry and, where you ask us to, to discuss our services with you. Our lawful basis is your request and our legitimate interest in responding to it. The technical details help us detect and block spam and abuse. We do not sell your information or use it for automated decision-making.
Who processes it
We use trusted service providers who process information on our behalf and under contract:
- Cloudflare: hosts this website and stores enquiry records
- Our email provider: delivers enquiry notifications to our team
These providers may process information outside your country. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records only for as long as we need them to respond and to manage any resulting relationship, and in any case no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
Your rights
You can ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, and to correct, delete or stop using it. You can also object to how we use it. To make a request, email [email protected]. We will respond within the time the law allows.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa), the Information Commissioner’s Office (United Kingdom), your local EU data protection authority, or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Security
Information is sent to us over an encrypted connection and stored with access restricted to the people who need it to respond to you.
